Painting with coffee.

It began with breakfast. Stuck in the house during the pandemic drinking coffee from our local coffee shop Southpaw in Islington. I’d been focused on watercolor pub illustrations for a few months but had decided to try coffee shops next. Then it occurred to me - why not paint coffee shops with coffee as the paint? It has since evolved into a more fun, free and colourful expression of whatever I’m feeling that day while I paint over breakfast and a good pour over.
